Caroline and Dave say: BonaNZa are consummate musicians and great guys, with an awesome sense of humour. Whether they are playing serious classical music, the Theme from the Lone Ranger, or a jazz standard, they know how to communicate with a wide audience.
BonaNZa is New Zealand’s premier trombone quartet. Formed in 1997, BonaNZa premiered at the Bay of Islands Arts Festival the same year. Since then, they have continued providing a fun, varied and informative musical programme to people from a wide range of ages, backgrounds and cultures.
BonaNZa is made up of four professional trombone players from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia. The members enjoy playing varying styles of music and performing in diverse places.
