UPSURGE is the Bay of Islands’ community arts festival, bringing together local artists, performers, writers, musicians and audiences for a vibrant celebration of creativity.

Planning is well underway for the return of the Upsurge Bay of Islands Arts Festival in April 2027. At present, we’re awaiting several important funding decisions that will determine whether we can proceed. We’ll share more news in the coming months, so please keep an eye on this website and our social media channels for updates.

Alongside our plans for the festival, we’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for our community to experience exceptional arts and culture throughout the year.
