Tēnā koutou Bay of Islands!

We are delighted to present our programme for the 2024 Upsurge Bay of Islands Arts Festival. The focus for our second Upsurge as directors is to continue celebrate our wonderful rohe and the fabulous people who live here. Much of our programme is directly connected to this amazing region. We also look forward to welcoming many talented artists from around Aotearoa.

Troy Kingi, Hollie Smith, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Michael Houstoun, Hinemoa Elder, Dame Gaylene Preston and Jacob Rajan are just some of the amazing artists who will be with us during Upsurge. We can’t wait, and we hope that Upsurge 2024 brings you some much-needed beauty and joy.
