Java Dance return to the Bay of Islands to create a trail just for you in Kerikeri and Kaikohe involving more than 65 performers. Follow our heroes, a band of dancing cleaners, in this joyful and riotous adventure. Live music and dance – Including a kapa haka group, brass bands, opera singers and a string ensemble – draw you into secret places in your own town. Secrets in Our Streets is a celebration of public spaces, hidden places, and our ability to transform as the world around us changes.

‘This work was inspired by duets between musicians and dancers during Lockdown, the essential role that cleaners play in our society and the current need for laughter, joy and a little silliness!’ explains Sacha Copland of Java Dance.

Featuring special local guests with Java Dance Theatre.
