Come and see the newly commissioned mural by artist Erika Pearce unfold during this year’s Festival!
Erika is a multi-disciplined artist and designer, born and raised in Auckland. Her passion for women, culture and nature inspires her vibrant artwork. Growing up in one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, Erika developed a deep respect for the cultures around her from a young age.
She creates every piece with a lot of research, understanding and guidance and will be working closely with locals to devise this very special piece for the Paihia community.
As someone passionate about the preservation of our oceans and environment, it is important to her to create work that shares these messages and resonates with the public.
This work is proudly supported by Focus Paihia as a community arts activation project for the region.
Artist Erika Pearce will be completing the art work on the Bluff wall of the rocky shoreline between Paihia and Waitangi from Monday April 1 – Sunday April 7

The Festival simply would not be possible without the support of so many generous sponsors, funders, patrons and supporters. It takes a huge amount of energy and money to plan and deliver a festival of this scale and we are truly grateful to all of those who have seen the value of what we do and helped make it all possible.
